The Breezy Bomb 2015 - Kansas's Prime Longboard Event
Who's behind it?
Corbin: The Kansas State University Longboard Club is based here in Manhattan, KS and is directly associated with Kansas State University. The club was started four years ago, and has remained active with university affiliations and events. I continue to run the club and produce annual events for Midwest riders.
What's all about?
Corbin: The Breezy Bomb is designed to strengthen the longboarding community here in Kansas as well as welcome those that are new to the sport. Our active number of club members has more than tripled since last year and this event serves as an opportunity to promote longboarding in a safe and optimistic manner to all of the new skaters. Longboarding has been nothing but a positive influence in my life and I would like to share this passion with others. The university-sanctioned and IDSA insured event will take place on April 11th, 2015 at Tuttle Creek Cove Park in Manhattan, KS.
Who's involved?
Corbin: The Breezy Bomb is made possible by all of my longboard club volunteers constantly working on getting things running smooth for the event. Every year it takes funding, time, and cooperation from the Tuttle Creek Corps of Engineering. All the work pays off by seeing many new riders experience racing and competition for the first time. We will have three different categories this year (Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced) to encourage riders of all levels to come out this year.
Once again, Corbin and crew prove that where is a will, there is a way. This is how things should be done, with passion and love! More information about the venue and other events can be found on www.theidsa.org.
