BTFD

I get the basic idea of BTFD, but how do regular traders know the difference between a good dip worth buying and a long-term downtrend that might never bounce back? I mean, it sounds exciting to go in when prices drop, but doesn’t it feel like guessing unless you really know what you’re doing?

The idea behind BTFD feels risky. It tells people to jump in when prices go down, but that doesn’t mean they will rise again. The article at https://paybis.com/blog/glossary/btfd/ explains the phrase without hype, and that made it easier to trust the info. It also says why the term is common. Now I get why many traders repeat it, even if I’m not sure I would follow that path. I like having a clear meaning for slang I see all the time.
