Adrex Ice Run

This year, the Czech Championship in speed ice climbing is hosted by the Climbing Arena in Liberec. The frost made it possible to create a perfect ice coating of quarry Na Bídě. On Saturday, February 18, elite climbers are to compete in the Czech Championship here.

For public, it can be attractive to try one of the easier routes themselves. The equipment will be available for rent. Public ice climbing is provided by the Liberec Region.

The rules of Adrex Ice Run are simple – to climb up the approximately 25 metres long route without touching the wall and falling. The morning qualifying round is open, with the fastest ten men and five women entering the evening finals, to compete for the championship, prize money and prize trophies provided by the sponsors.

The event will be moderated by Mára Holeček.

Although Adrex Ice Run is an official Czech Championship, the qualifying round is open to anyone who will have subscribed by email submitted to horolezeckaarena@gmail.com or register here. Please include your full name, contact details and when you plan to arrive and be ready for the qualifying round. The registration fee is EUR 8, if registered by Friday, February 17, 2017, or EUR 12, if registered on site, before the qualifying round starts.
