Cabin Fever Adventures - Your Kayaking Guide in The Yukon

The Coast Mountains have always been an area in which explorations of any kind have thrived, most notably mountaineering. But this vast mountain range extending from Vancouver 1,600 km north into the Yukon, facing the Pacific Ocean offers much more than that. Right here, many Yukon rivers offer unforgettable wilderness experiences surrounded by rugged slopes, tremendous relief, heavy rainforest and wildlife such as moose, bear, and eagles. And the best way to spot all that is from a kayak saddle. If you ever are in northwestern Canada, we recommend Cabin Fever Adventures for that matter - this family-based business will make your stay unforgettable for a long time.

So who is Cabin Fever Adventures? Simply put, they are able to provide a custom Yukon canoe trip on almost any river in the Yukon . The company owned and operated by Dustin and Brook Davis formed in 2008, but the story started much earlier. Dustin Davis began his guiding career in Ontario in 1996 leading canoe trips in Algonquin Provincial Park. Since that time he has lead river trips, sea kayaking trips on Lake Superior, dog sledding trips in the Yukon and Ontario, mountain hiking trips in the Yukon and participated in numerous other varied and diverse outdoor experiences. Dustin and his wife run the business from a gorgeous property overlooking the Coastal Mountains in Carcross, an unincorporated Yukon community surrounded by Bennett Lake and Nares Lake - you'll be right in the heart of wilderness.

Apart from river kayaking, in the Southern Lakes District of the Yukon lies another surprise - relatively unknown kayaking gem with no less than eight large, mountain-lined lakes that provide amazing kayak trips. These Yukon fresh-water lakes have the immense feel of ocean sea kayaking, yet have the benefits of a fresh-water environment. This is an absolutely must-see!
