For adrenaline sports fans, there are almost endless opportunities to have fun when you get near the water. From jet-skiing to windsurfing, surfing to scuba diving, the ocean offers so many great ways to enjoy yourself if you like a bit of action and adventure.
If you are keen on watersports, then chances are you will have tried surfing at some point, you perhaps got the chance to visit places with good waves, and you may also have had a go on a jet-ski – which can be kind of like riding a motorcycle on the water. Now, however, a new extreme sports trend has combined these two already awesome sports into one new, glorious thing: jetsurfing

Imagine a surfboard and a Moto GP bike had a baby and you may have some idea of what the soul of jersurfing is like. Jetsurfing takes powerful engines and attaches them to specially designed boards, so you can ride the waves as a normal surfer would, but with some extra propulsion to add more speed and excitement. You hold the controller that connects to the board in your hand, so you can easily adjust the power from the jetsurf board without having to change your posture or position as you ride. You can stand, sit, or lie on the board, just as with a normal surfboard, and of course there is also the opportunity for stunts and tricks once you improve.
Who Is Jetsurfing For?
Jetsurfing is something you can try even if you are not an experienced surfer, as you can pick up the skills as you go and have a lot of fun in the process. So long as you are fairly fit, a decent swimmer, and not averse to falling in the ocean a lot, it really doesn't matter if you have surfed before – you can still enjoy the experience in relative safety. If you are a seasoned surfer looking for a new challenge, jetsurfing can be truly blissful, as you combine your existing skill with engine power for even more exhilaration than when you normally hit the waves. Jetsurfing can also be a lot more fun than regular surfing when the waves aren't really suitable for surfing, as you can pick up speed and skim along calmer waters.
Can I Jetsurf All Over the World?
Jetsurfing is a fairly new sport, so you may not be able to hire jetsurf boards when you are on vacation at some beach destinations. However, the boards from leading companies like JetsurfUS are designed to be portable, so you can carry them with you when you visit good locations and want to hit the water with your favorite toy. In fact, they can be easier to transport than skis or regular boards.
Jetsurfing is a hobby that is gaining traction among extreme watersports fans, so next time you are near the ocean, why not see if you can give it a try.
