Cappadocia - Truly Magical Place

Wake up. Inflate the balloon. Take off. Wait for the sun to rise. Get hypnotized. It can't get any better than this - wait, it can - it can get better if you are in Cappadocia, a geological oddity of honeycombed hills and “fairy chimneys,” tall, cone-shaped rock formations that spreads over Göreme National Park in Turkey. This stunning landscape of Cappadocia and thousands years of cultural heritage make it one of the most impressive places on our planet. No wonder this place is listed as one of the most popular spots in the world to go up in a Hot Air Balloon.

Cappadocia is listed in UNESCO World Heritage sites as Göreme National Park and the Rock Sites of Cappadocia. In a spectacular landscape, entirely sculpted by erosion, the Göreme valley and its surroundings contain rock-hewn sanctuaries that provide unique evidence of Byzantine art in the post-Iconoclastic period. Dwellings, troglodyte villages and underground towns – the remains of a traditional human habitat dating back to the 4th century – can also be seen there. If that wouldn't make you pack your gear and head to Turkey straight away then below video will - it's plain awesome.
